The fifth generation of family butcher, Tom Rodgers has been in the trade for 20 years and is a member of the Q Guild. The original Clydebank shop, called JJ Rodgers & Sons, was founded in the 60s by his grandfather James, with the Byres Road outlet open since 2010. Meat (except the occasional kangaroo steak) is sourced from one of ten Scottish farms to ensure traceability. They make up convenient boxes/breakfast boxes full of bacon and tattie scones or good value barbecue boxes packed with chicken fillets, burgers and their own sausages.
