Owen Taylor Success at National Awards with local Sausage
Owen Taylor & Sons of Derbyshire brought home a “virtual†raft of awards at this year’s Meat Management Awards. The famous Country Special Sausage and its Gluten Free counterpart were announced as finalists in their categories. Just missing the top spots to Tesco and Waitrose Richard Taylor, MD of Owen Taylor’s said “We were really pleased by the result which has been nice news for our employees that have worked through these challenging times to keep the quality highâ€.
The company, which had to Furlough over 90 employees when the Restaurants, Pubs and Universities were closed earlier in the year was also announced as a finalist of the Catering Butcher award.
Owen Taylor’s Smoked Streaky bacon, Huntsman Pie, Dambuster Sausage, Marinated Lamb Parve, Sirloin on the Bone and Cornfed Chicken Supreme achieved Highly Commended status against 1000 products from Butchers shops and supermarkets across Britain.
