Q Guild members host French Apprentices in Exchange Programme

As part of an apprentice exchange programme, Q Guild have teamed up with world-renowned EFMA college in France's Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region with the objective of enhancing the skills and broadening the knowledge and experience of EFMA and Q Guild apprentices alike. Q Guild apprentices play host for the first week and are, in turn, hosted by their French counterparts the following week.

Q Guild's Apprentice Exchange programme has been developed as a means to assist in Q Guild's continuous pursuit of excellence in all areas of their business activity. Apprentices from both sides of the channel will not only benefit from first hand exposure to new products and techniques specific to their craft but the whole experience will greatly help develop the all-important 'soft skills' of communication, teamwork and adaptability.

Espace Formation des Métiers et de l'Artisanat (EFMA) has been training France’s future charcuterie and boucherie artisans for over forty years. Their time in GB will allow them to learn from our own artisans in readiness for our own apprentices to soak up some of the finer points of continental butchery and a little of the French culture.
