John M Munro Butchers

John M Munro started nearly 100 years ago as a butchers shop in the Highlands of Scotland, and since then we have developed and grown to become one of the North of Scotland`s best-known butchers. In April 2021, we purchased our Inverness shop, the former well-established family business Duncan Fraser & Son which became available on retirement of third generation Duncan. With a shared appreciation for the traditional values and methods of how things used to be done, it was a natural fit to the Munro business ethos. The display cabinets in the shop are well stocked with a large variety of meats and poultry along with our own produced sausages, burgers, steak pies, haggis, black & white puddings, and so on.

The staff are all knowledgeable about our products, always greeting customers with a pleasant welcome and strive to give them top quality service.
The walls of the shop are adorned with an array of top awards reflecting the care and attention taken to produce our dishes as well as the quality of the meat used.
The business supplies numerous restaurants and hotels and has as a lot of local regular customers as well as a number of customers throughout the UK. The local orders, in and around Inverness, are delivered in our insulated van while for those further afield, TNT provide a next day service for us.
Duncan Fraser & Son`s motto is simply `Pleased to meet you with meat to please you`.
