Following in his father's footsteps, Rob Mills entered the craft opening his first retail butcher's business in nearby Henley-in Arden before taking on his father’s business some 13 years later from where he now practices his craft. Within his fully refurbished, state-of-the-art premises located on Solihull’s busy Stratford Road in Hockley Heath,

Rob continues to build the strong reputation for customer-friendly service, craftsmanship and excellence in all things food that has formed the business's core foundation since 1978.

“I liken ourselves to specialist wine merchants, giving the customer the whole story as so underpin provenance of all we purvey; the farmer, the breed, even the field it grew up in - attention to detail is the key. I purchase only carcass meat - hung in the age-old manner - for 4-6 weeks; free-range chickens from, dry cure bacon, hams; seasonal meats such as venison, pheasants, partridge, wild ducks, rabbits and Guinea fowl and our own Lowsonford sausages all complimented with a great selection of English and continental cheeses on our deli, with pates and cooked meats”
